Small hidden bar thst had been here for years! Great for mid-week night date. a Thursday night it wasn't crowded, I loved the "pick a song" machine that let's you take over the bar for a few minutes. The bartenders were fast and we didn't need to wait for service, they were very attentive and nice. We ordered 2 dirty martinis, they weren't very good and the olives were so bitter and yucky. Next round was wine and it was better.

My friend and I popped in on a weekday night and were met by a friendly, attentive bartender. We ordered the happy hour burger and the edamame -- both were delicious. My friend loved his old fashioned and I loved my spicy margarita. We had actually stopped in a couple years ago and were initially turned off by the darkness of the establishment. I'm so happy we gave it another chance because it exceeded expectations. Great happy hour option in the area!

You know you really enjoyed an experience at a location when you wake up the next day and want to write a positive yelp review. I went to The Reserve last night for their Halloween party and from start to finish had a perfect time! I hope their reviews reflect that and would be wary of negative experiences where it is personal attacks.

We were lucky enough to come during an evening that was slow and quiet. Given that information, we were allowed inside by the bouncer without being on a guestlist or making reservations. I do notice that other reviewers had issues but fortunately my experience was different, thank god. I can only imagine the nightmare on a busy night.

I have to write this review as a dark skinned black woman because I am REALLY TIRED of my fellow black sisters claiming that everywhere in hollywood is racist or colorist. My experience here was absolutely AMAZING I came here on a Wednesday night tipsy from my adventures downtown and wanted to burn off my tipsy The security guard was the sweetest thing in the world as well as the door man. They were only accepting bottle service which was over $700 but I said I just needed time to sit down. They asked the manager and the manager let me. They spoiled me like crazy hookahs, food, drinks. Sat me in the middle of the club. Spent time with me then walked me to my car like 2 hours later. Black women its your attitude thats getting you bad treatment. I am very dark and very beautiful but Im also kind and loving. NOT JUST HERE. Ive gotten into the W on nights where it was full to capacity and theyve rejected other white or light girls but let me in...Message me if you think this is fake. Im really tired of amazing establishments getting thrown under the bus and being accused of racism. This place is run by Muslim-fearing honest men. As a solo woman with the right attitude YOU WILL be treated like royalty here

I'm a big hookah person and I'm visiting LA from New York. Everyone from the bouncer to the hosts made me feel completely welcome and were very attentive. I had a great time and even chopped it up with some friendly natives. Hookah was great and so were the drinks. Definitely enjoyed myself and will be back.

My best friend and I just visited Hollywood Hookah last weekend and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is very fun, the hookah is outstanding, the drinks were plenty and the service top notch. From the moment we got there security took us to the new type of ID scanner. The system stores your information in their system and should you be a trouble maker let's them ban you so you cant come back and cause trouble. As a single female who likes to go out and enjoy her time with friends this really put my mind at ease knowing no one in there was going to be an issue. Five stars for that right there alone. Once we were scanned into the system, he then took us to our seats, nice comfortable couch style seating in the back patio area. Everything was clean and our server Nameer catered to us and made sure we wanted for nothing. Hands down this is a very high end hookah place, if you're looking for cheap, grimy and full of losers go somewhere else. They take care of patrons who know how to act and I love that. No sexism, no misunderstandings, just great environment and service. My friend and I have already made this our new spot for hookah in Hollywood. Five stars across the board for Hollywood Hookah. See you guys again soon!

The lounge is heated with lamps that they could turn off if you get to warm. Room was not smoky like some hookah lounges could be. DJ Blvd was great with TV’s playing music videos all around. The staff, Nameer and Anna, were very nice and took the time to explain everything to us and keep coming by making sure we were doing ok. We will be making the 1.5 hour trip back to Hollywood Hookah because it is so worth it!!!!

Very extensive process with scanning ID and signing a waiver to enter was too much. The staff at the door wasnt that friendly. Smile more the hookahs was brought out relatively quick. The server took all night to warm up but was better towards the end. She was spliting like 6 booths. Definitely need to hire more staff. Also the food was blah.

They have cheap beer and reasonable hookah packages(20+ flavors) plus you can order food which is delivered from the restaurant next store. It is a little weird that they take your picture and make you sign a wavier right after you walk in but I guess that comes with increased technology and lawsuits these days.

Usually frequent this spot if I want to take in the Hollywood "vibe" but the DJ on the weekends is LEGIT. Their music playlist is very hip hop friendly and the servers are quite friendly and attended frequently to our table. I like their hookah selection but it would be great if they had more Fumari selections. If anything they have the white gummi flavor and it can pair well with any of the other flavors they got. The crowd can range anywhere from mellow to sexy with frequent celebrity sightings. Saw James Harden chilling one night, Some hip hop artists and plenty of pretty ladies. Give this place a shot, they also have food and alcohol so the trifecta has been solved.

I've been to many lounges in Hollywood and can honestly say this place is by far the best. From the moment you walk in the people at the door are very welcoming and friendly. The ambiance on the patio is great especially on the nights when they have a DJ (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). They don't serve food but the restaurants next to the lounge are great and they're cool with you bringing food inside. I bring all my friends here when they come to visit LA and they love it! I came here once in 2009 to celebrate my friends 20th birthday. We sat in the private room towards the front and it was a nice little cozy area. I can't comment on the food or the hookah because I don't remember much, but I had a lot of fun that night. My friend covered the tab so I can't even really comment on the prices, but it was a fun place. I liked looking out on Hollywood Blvd. and seeing people lined up to go to the club next door. That was actually the night I saw Khloe K. and Lamar going to Playhouse and the tranny that apparently got assaulted by Khloe. You can view the video on TMZ. Fun night!

I felt like we had the VIP treatment that night. We also managed to steal some great memories while listening to the 90's hip hop blaring over the television screens and speakers. Decent spot especially after having a horrible experience at a restaurant near by called the Velvet margarita cantina where our server treated our entire party like crap. It was nice to have drinks and enjoy hookah at a place that cares about their customers. My wife was upset she wanted to enjoy margaritas and Mexican food so when we left the nightmare Hollywood Hookah really helped relive that tension and we were able to enjoy a sat night that started of horrible at one place but finished great at Hollywood Hookah! If drinks weren't so expensive here I would have given it another star! Great customer service high drink prices but I'll pay a little extra for better service.

This place was not what I expected, but I had a very good time! I went around 230am on a Sunday morning. It was super combo of a hip hop club/sexy lounge/hookah bar lounge. Definitely somewhat of an acquired taste. It's something I enjoy, but if you're looking for a typical hookah bar this is definitely not it. The decor is upscale-ish and the lighting is reddish which adds to the sexy ambiance. Music videos accompany the songs being played over the speakers and the mix is constant. That night they played house-fusion and by the end of the night, the hip hop was on full blast. The hookah itself was alright but I enjoyed the vibe from the place the most. There was a $10 cover charge at the door. Doorman was chill. At that hour, you get in quicker if you're a smaller group like 2-3, so don't plan on bringing a whole entourage or else you'll be waiting a while.

I think this place gets mixed reviews because no one is sure what it's supposed to be. Relaxing hookah spot? Not really Dance spot? Not really. So it's hard for me to review this place but here goes my attempt. This isn't a place to enjoy really good hookah. The tobacco they use is alright. They didn't have any extra tongs that night. I mean... if I'm at a hookah place i either expect you to be coming around constantly to check my coals, or give me my own tongs! Service here is bad on weekends because they waiters/waitresses are just constantly running around trying to get a million things done. The music is bumping! Hip hop, rap, sometimes some electro. But it makes you wanna dance that's for sure! The 18+ side is sooo crappy. They need to integrate it with the 21+ side, which is awesome. As others have mentioned the slight gaudy and sexy decor is what makes this place cool. So here's my final word on this place: It's cool if you know what to expect. A place where you can sit and listen to music and get up and dance a little while taking a hit of the hookah occasionally. It's not a place for serious hookah devotees. Or serious dancers. Which is always sexy. Everyone looks nice in low light. The couches were comfortable to sit on. There were a dozen 47 inch flat screens hung on the wall showing various music videos. The latest r&b and hip-hop music was playing which is cool for me. We were a party of 15..and had about 5 hookahs going. I was buzz but what i can remember we had Pineapple,gummi bear,birthday sex and the other 2 others Im not sure of the flavor.. But they were are cool and the flavors were nice..Plus the Hookah are inexpensive about 21 bucks! Our Host..I cant think of his name was super nice and explain how Hookah works. He came by throughout the night to make sure we was doing good, Excellent service. My drink of choice for the evening was Adios and it was made to perfection. I would come back again! Plus its open until 4am.

The new owner is really cool and is willing to help with whatever problems whether it's with a hookah or service. So after we decided to go to this place at the last minute. I was hoping they would sell alcohol. Unfortunetely, this was 18 and over and we were disappointed because usually places like these sell alcohol especially on hollywood blvd. But once we entered, this place was of the chain. Kind of reminded me of high school days because they were throwing some old school hip-hop/rap. Its a dope place waitress are there to serve you as pleased. So after running into my Australian friends at Drai's, they invited us to come here. This place is dope, and I don't even smoke hookah. The DJ plays hip hop bangers ALL NIGHT (til 4am atleast). I'm talking from Yung Joc's "it's going down" to Mike Jones' "Drop and give me 50". Music is so good you'll either think you're at a stripclub or you'll be contemplating jumping on a table to start krumping...til u realize "oh wait, this is a hookah lounge...my bad". The only reason this place is getting four stars and not five, is that there was a chick dancing provocatively in the aisles that shouldn't have been. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't discriminate when it comes to dancing, but when the bottom of your dress is starting to ride up from your cheeks to your hips, displaying your cottage cheese and you don't seem to care, please keep in mind that there are still people around that may have just had a late night dirty dog and may want to digest it (this guy). She kinda reminded me of a bear that's been shot with a tranquilizer but isn't affected and keeps coming at your face. I just kept wishing security or the bouncers from Playhouse that came over would make a pitching change and put her back in the dugout...but they were loving it. "Taze her bro, Taze her" is what kept running through my mind. Other than that, staff here is friendly and awesome.

So after running into my Australian friends at Drai's, they invited us to come here. This place is dope, and I don't even smoke hookah. The DJ plays hip hop bangers ALL NIGHT (til 4am atleast). I'm talking from Yung Joc's "it's going down" to Mike Jones' "Drop and give me 50". Music is so good you'll either think you're at a stripclub or you'll be contemplating jumping on a table to start krumping...til u realize "oh wait, this is a hookah lounge...my bad". The only reason this place is getting four stars and not five, is that there was a chick dancing provocatively in the aisles that shouldn't have been. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't discriminate when it comes to dancing, but when the bottom of your dress is starting to ride up from your cheeks to your hips, displaying your cottage cheese and you don't seem to care, please keep in mind that there are still people around that may have just had a late night dirty dog and may want to digest it (this guy). She kinda reminded me of a bear that's been shot with a tranquilizer but isn't affected and keeps coming at your face. I just kept wishing security or the bouncers from Playhouse that came over would make a pitching change and put her back in the dugout...but they were loving it. "Taze her bro, Taze her" is what kept running through my mind. Other than that, staff here is friendly and awesome.

OK, Let me start off by saying that ive been to this location both at night when its POPPIN ( & by poppin i mean crammed up the ass due Playhouse next door always bringing people in & the crammed way the seating is set up) & ive been there in the middle of the afternoon when there is absolutely no one there. I first Came here from ending the night on halloweed in 00" & we went upstair to the dj balcony. it was fun due to the fact that i was drunk but still. ive also been there a couple of times after also after ten when it was packed. Let me say this the ceiling is really cool with the statues & draping but the seating arrangements are VERRRYYYYY CLOSE & you can literally sit next to strangers side to side & back to back all around. They have a few private booth but those have a higher minimum. the hookah is pretty good but a tad overpriced. the crowd is very diverse & loud so it kina feels like a club...but its a hookah club lol. NOW i would never go back there at night but in the last year me & my bf have been going there religiously in the middle of the day usually right after they open & this is why. I think the staff changes from day to night & theyre always very friendly & nice esecially the one manager . The white guy with the glasses . Hes super sweet & spent some time watching Superbowl with us this year & making conversation . Its usually completely empty in the day time so we would go at lest once a week to wind down stretch our legs out & just hang out. Plus we LOVED the selection of old school hip hop & rap videos they would always play. Very nostalgic. Our favorite hookah was Guava mint. Its the BEST. SO clearly the day to night atmosphere changes DRASTICALLY. My only down side was that they served no alcohol or even tea or coffee. Thats my fave part of going to get hookah, getting some mint tea to go along with it. Well they just recently bought out the medical marijuana place next to it & turn the long room into a 18 an over area & got a liquor license & turned the main room to 21. This really upset me. My bf is under 21& we couldnt go in & had to sit in the cold awkwardly set up dim area of the new room. turns out they got a license for (wine beer and sake) WAAATTT, make such a drastic change for beer and sake? no full bar. Plus they bought out the place a block dwn to turn that 18 and over, makes no sense to me seeing as how i always go for hookah with a diverse age group of friends.

4 month ago, I stopped by on a whim... perhaps it was because of NYE, but my visit was just okay... nothing too special. I think a lot of it may have been I was seated on the 18+ side, but regardless, my visit then was just "meh." Then, the owner of Hollywood Hookah contacted me because he wasn't satisfied with my review. He extended an invite back, and I figured why not? Well, I am very glad I took him back on his offer. Not only did he comp the hookah (Adios flavor, Watermelon Bowl, Milk Base =$34), he took care of the valet ($20) and about $60 worth of alcohol. I was expecting to pay for our drinks, and I was floored and very pleasantly surprised that our entire visit was free. My best friend and I got VIP treatment the second we walked in. Our waitress, Amber, was super attentive. The coals were replaced without having to ask. They also played every song we requested immediately, and all the employees were fun, courteous and attentive. We were treated like royalty. It was amazing. On top of that, DJ Dominiq (one of our faves) was spinning that night. He also showed us a lot of love too. Although this is a pricier hookah lounge, I really appreciate the creative mixes, the alcohol and great service. It is a drive from Orange County, but my friend and I both made the decision that we will be budgetting extra money aside and come back once a month, just because the service we received last night was so amazing.

Great environment, but be prepared to fork out a few extra dollars than most other hookahs. They have great service. They have a few private rooms and there is now a 18+ and 21+ lounge area. This is a nice seperation. I was there on a Thursday and there was a dj. I've been here a couple times. Will come back :)

I've been here a few times, usually after watching my friends DJ at My Studio which is right across the street, after around midnight. I've had hookah many times before, but the ones they serve here may have been the best I've ever had. It's in the busy part of Hollywood, so hard to find free parking, but it's possible it you're patient and don't mind a short walk. The hookah itself is a little pricey for what I'm used to, but given the location, it's somewhat understandable and the service they provide is usually pretty good to decent. Servers check in often to make sure your coals don't get too ashy, need to be changed out and clean out the bowl from time to time. I've always come here after drinking, so I'm not sure if that made the hookah taste that much better, but it gives you a total head change when you do, which I really like and enjoy. I ordered the watermelon hookah one time, which turned out to be awesome!! Smoking while taking a bite of the watermelon turned out to taste way better than what I imagined it would be like. It was pretty expensive for that one in particular, but it's something I'm definitely glad to try at least once. I usually go on Thursday nights, so it's not too long of a wait then, and the other customers inside have been friendly for the most part and we've actually struck up conversations with random groups on occasion. They have lots of TVs all around playing good music from time to time with sometimes super random music videos on display. They were previously trying to obtain their liquor license when I went last in early-mid March, which is one of the few things I wish they would have. Also, they only offer bottled water which I think is a little ridiculous considering the price you are paying, but then again, you're in Hollywood, so what can you expect? I'll definitely be back here again whenever I'm in the area and ready to have yet another good time here!

But I am the kind of person with the "can do" attitude and really needed to figure out what all the hoopla was about. So a night out on the town at this very trendy and super fun club called My Place lead us/me to Hollywood Hookah. It was super late at night and the first appealing thing about this place was the fact that it stays open until 4 in the morning! On a Thursday night that is impressive. This is not to say that it being a Thursday night it wasn't packed, because it was. When we entered the music was loud and the crowd was buzzing about. They have huge TVs that play music videos on them and add much entertainment when you are in hookah mode. We sat next to these really cool guys who we began to socialize with and then the hookah was flowing! They had two hookahs and I think we had two as well and we were all passing it around like it was communion or something (I don't really remember what communion was like but I needed an analogy). We stayed into the wee hours of the morning because the staff and ambiance is amazing and you never want to leave. That is one very cool thing about this place, the staff! They constantly come around and blow off the ash from the coals and they make sure that they hookah isn't hitting to harshly. Beautiful women as well! I can appreciate beautiful ladies. ;-) The last time that I had to pleasure of going to hookah, my friend and I had the gummy bear hookah with a watermelon base and it was so divine. The mixture of the refreshing watermelon with the lightness of the hookah complimented each other inside my mouth. It was such an experience that words don't do justice for. Cactus cooler is another one of my favorites! I have gone back two times already and I am going back again this week. This is definitely my new favorite place to go after a night of dancing. One thing that I will say is that it is loud and full of club goers so if you are looking for a more relaxing scene, keep looking.

After a good night at the club and/or bar, it's always good to come out here for hookah. Just relax and enjoy your time with your friends, no drama, and the music is play using either top 40 music or from 10 years ago. So reminds me of the times of college.

I really do not understand the bad reviews about this place. People, is Hollywood you have to pay parking, there is traffic, and yes there is a line to get in. However, my experience was great! The staff was very nice. My server was good and recommend tasty blends.

They mostly play hip-hop and rap for music, but its a lot of what's on the radios now a days and some old school stuff too. They do have a time limit when there's a line outside which is an hour and a half. To me that's an ok time limit but it could be longer, considering whether or not you're done with the hookah. Other than the time limit this place is awesome, I take everyone there who hasn't had hookah before and they all love it!

Finally a hookah lounge that doesn't have boro boro or knight rider on their playlist!! I went on a weekday when it wasn't too packed but the vibe was still pretty chill and relaxed. The hookah cost around $20 which might seem expensive but it was well worth it. Definitely one of the best hookah's I've ever smoked and the even better part is that there were no annoying people coming upto you 30 mins after asking you to either get another hookah or bounce..like most other hookah bars do. Plus they use coconara coals so none of that ashy, hard hitting crap with their hookah's. The seating layout isn't crammed with couches so once you get that nice buzz going you don't have to do awkward dances to get around and avoid spilling other peoples hookahs. The only thing is that the couches show definite signs of wear and tear and coal spots. Other than that, this place gets a vote for a definite return in my book.

They are constantly there to check on your hookah to make sure it is not too harsh, and/or if you need more coal. Their hookahs are very good and hits hard. They use Coconara Natural Coals which in my opinion are the best ones you can use. Also, unlike other lounges out there they use legit "Nammor style" hoses which are the ones with the big handle, and they also give you coco mouth tips which are usually sold for an extra dollar or two at any other lounge. Very chill - I recommend if you're in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way. It's pretty good... the customer service is great, the hookah is carefully started for you. and the rooms are reasonable. Do not order water unless you want to pay $25 for 2 room temperature Voss.
